Dart Frog BANDIT BUMBLEBEE
This black and yellow poison dart frog is one of the largest species of the genus. Most specimens average about 1.5 inches, although the larger female may sometimes approach two inches. It is an excellent choice for newer keepers as adults will eat pinhead or larger crickets in addition to the standard fruit fly dart frog fare. It is native to northern South America from Venezuela to Guyana where it inhabits subtropical forests or dry forest galleries among savannah habitat. It tends to congregate in damper areas during dry conditions.
