Chilobrachys natanicharum (Electric Blue Earth Tiger) Bulk
Chilobrachys natanicharum, commonly known as the Electric Blue Tarantula, is one of the most spectacular and recently described Old World species, discovered in southern Thailand in 2022. Its iridescent metallic-blue legs and carapace, paired with golden-tan abdominal tones, make it one of the most visually stunning tarantulas ever documented. This fast, fossorial species is native to lowland mangrove forests and coastal evergreen zones, where it constructs deep burrows reinforced with dense layers of silk. During daylight, C. natanicharum remains hidden within its retreat, emerging at dusk to hunt using its exceptional speed and sensitivity to vibration. Though defensive and not recommended for handling, it is a highly rewarding display species when provided with appropriate environmental depth and humidity. In captivity, it thrives in deep, moist substrate with consistent warmth, high humidity, and limited disturbance—showcasing its electric blue hues most vividly after fresh molts.
