Brachypelma klaasi, commonly known as the Mexican Pink Tarantula, is a strikingly beautiful terrestrial species native to the tropical forests and highland valleys of Jalisco and Nayarit, Mexico. It is easily identified by its rich black body contrasted by vivid magenta-pink setae covering the legs and abdomen, giving it a unique iridescent glow under natural light. In the wild, B. klaasi inhabits moist forest edges and semi-arid scrublands, constructing burrows in firm clay or loamy soils near root systems, rocks, or fallen branches.
