Despite the arid appearance of its habitat, the region experiences heavy seasonal rainfall and morning fog, allowing the species to maintain moderate humidity within its retreats. Active and alert but generally not aggressive, P. sazimai is a fascinating display tarantula that thrives in well-ventilated enclosures with moderately moist substrate, strong airflow, and occasional seasonal misting.
