In the wild, P. pulcher inhabits the mid-canopy and understory layers of humid forests, establishing silken retreats inside hollow branches, palm bases, and dense vine tangles. It is a fast, athletic species that uses bursts of speed to evade threats and capture prey, often remaining partially visible at the entrance of its web during the evening.
