Tliltocatl (Brachypelma) verdezi (Mexican Rose Grey) Bulk
Tliltocatl verdezi, commonly known as the Mexican Olive Tarantula, is a calm, medium-to-large terrestrial species native to the dry tropical and subtropical regions of Guerrero and Oaxaca, Mexico. This species is characterized by its velvety dark brown to olive carapace, black legs dusted with golden setae, and a subtle copper sheen that becomes more pronounced under natural light. In the wild, T. verdezi inhabits arid scrublands and dry forests, constructing silk-lined burrows beneath rocks or tree roots where it remains protected from temperature extremes. It is primarily nocturnal, emerging from its burrow at dusk to forage along the forest floor. Like many Tliltocatl species, it is hardy, deliberate in movement, and highly tolerant of varied environmental conditions. In captivity, T. verdezi adapts easily to semi-arid setups with deep, slightly compacted substrate, moderate humidity, and a secure hide—making it an excellent choice for both beginners and seasoned collectors who value classic Mexican tarantulas with subtle beauty and calm demeanor.
